SCBR Week 8/ Day 3 Food/Exercise Journal

7:30 am – Coffee – Content (5)

I fell for another delicious Trader Joe’s sample the other day – TJ’s Organic Fair Trade Cafe Pajaro Blend – Extra Dark Roast Full Bodied. Normally, I don’t like dark roasts, but I thought this one was pretty smooth.

I must have brewed the coffee wrong this AM because this morning’s cuppa joe wasn’t nearly as tasty as the sample I enjoyed at TJ’s the day before. Well, either I brewed the coffee wrong, or the taste was dramatically altered in the sample since I used the agave syrup (which I wanted to buy but held off…for now) and soy creamer (which I already bought, but haven’t debuted here and haven’t yet opened).

9:30 am – Multigrain Hot Cereal – Content (5)

This AM’s breakfast was a repeat of yesterday with another serving of that hot cereal multi-grain blend. Yum!

11:15 am – Chicken-Tomatillo Burrito – First Signs of Feeling Full (6)

I hit up a local burrito joint today for lunch. Since I went so early, the place was pretty empty and I actually got to talk to the guys behind the counter. They had an interested special behind the counter – a chicken meat in a green sauce. After inquiring, I found out the chicken was made with boneless chicken breast, onion, tomatillos, and cilantro AND no butter or oil! I was hoping for something light-ish for lunch since I had plans to work out after work today and though this wasn’t the best option for me, I thought it was pretty good. It certainly tasted delicious!

In my burrito, I added black beans, rice, pico de gallo, green peppers, cilantro, and cheese.

I ate about 1/2 the burrito before my noon phone conference and the other half just before my 2 PM phone conference.

I had water with lunch today. I actually did really good on the water intake today! I had about 1 cup worth of smart water leftover from a previous day AND I finished this 32 ounce water bottle of Brita-filtered water.

I also enjoyed some of these yummy TJ’s Green Tea Mints – 3 of these contain the same polyphenol content as 1 cup of green tea (according to the package).

A co-worker brought some Mountain Taffy from Gatlinburg, TN to work from a recent vacay of hers and was kind enough to share some with the rest of us. I had 2 pieces.

4:15 pm – Luna Sunrise Bar – Content (5)

Since I was planning to workout after work, I had a Luna Sunrise Bar in Vanilla Almond for some extra energy. This bar is one of my all-time faves! I love the flavors in this bar and the vitamins and other goodies are a nice perk.

6:00 pm – Zumba – Tired but Happy

I went to zumba after work today. I know I just went yesterday, but zumba is one of my fave workouts and it’s such a good one, too! Not to mention, I got a meeting request for a Friday 6PM, which means I’ll miss my Friday zumba. 🙁

On a better note, I had a blast at class tonight aaaaaaannnnnddddd I’ve ordered some super-cute zumba cargo pants! I got one black pair and one that is lime green! I know…crazy color! But, hey, I’ve gotta work it while I still can, right?

8:30 pm – PF Changs – First Signs of Feeling Full (6)

Hubby and I went to one of my fave grocery stores – The Fresh Market – after zumba. We picked up a couple goodies and then got to hit up PF Changes on our way home! We started with wonton soup.

We got Moo Goo Gai Pan as our entree and split it.

I wish I had a photo of my plate, but I was so hungry, I forgot. 🙂

I have some more work to do tonight for Pink at the Plaza , so I’m off to get on that. In some good news, I got one email back from a news source I contacted about PATP already! Ok, so they didn’t say anything about featuring us, but they did ask about our event date, so that’s positive, right? I hope so.
