Cook Chia Seeds In Your Oats

Have chia seeds? Cook them in your oats…they are AWESOME!

Before

  • 1/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup water
  • pinch flaxseed

Microwave 2 minutes (I prefer stove top but am pressed for time during the work week)

AFTER!!!

Stir in:

  • 1 sliced banana
  • skim milk

Tiny gelatinous chia seeds

Toppings = drizzle of agave, sliced almonds, ground flaxseed

So simple yet so good! I made this using stuff from my pantry!

With coffee and skim milk (for calcium!) – perfect breakfast!

Perfect!!!! I love this! I bought white chia seeds and have been sneaking them in my hubbys oats with no notice! I love the texture!

I keep seeing chia seeds every where. I really want to try them now. In my small town I wonder if they are even available. Looks yummy and sounds nutritious!!
