Hubby told me on the way to my rents house how much he loved breakfast at their place and Saturday morning proved to be a good one.

I decided to bring one of the loaves of Nature’s Pride bread I received to sample for the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program – 12 Grain.

My parents decided to make French Toast out of that loaf of bread.

My parents love to make French Toast. It was a staple in our house growing up…made with whole wheat bread, of course, thanks to my health-freak dad.

A little savory bacon to balance the sweetness of the French Toast.

All together now – a little warmed up maple syrup drizzled over the French Toast. Served with hot coffee…perfection!

The verdict – my family loved the bread. They said it made great French Toast. It was nice and hearty but just tender enough, and I liked the touch of sunflower seeds I saw sprinkled through my breakfast. Yum!

Thanks Nature’s Pride and Foodbuzz for letting me and my family sample the new NP bread…it’s awesome!

After a brief rest, we made a late trip to the Farmer’s Market

My dad used to make french toast every Sunday morning for us before church. I think of those days every Sunday.

Once in a while I will make breakfast on Sundays, but the hubs prefers eggs to french toast. Oh, well.
