Dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh – Epcot {Disney World, Orlando, FL}

Here’s my latest video – a mix of video and photos from our dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh at the Morocco Pavilion of Epcot in Disney World, Orlando, FL. I tried to only let the photos overlap a little, so be sure to take a look at the photos in this post and to watch the whole video for all the content. I’m pretty terrible at making these videos, but hopefully, this gives you a better feel for what it’s like to have dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh.

And here are some more photos I wanted to share…

After a wonderful day full of energy, learning, fun & unique eating, and excitement at the Food Blog Forum conference, hubby and I decided to visit one of my favorite Disney restaurants for dinner in Epcot.

Since we were staying at the Grand Floridian, we opted to take the monorail. We hopped on one monorail to the transportation center where we found the Epcot monorail. I didn’t remember there being multiple monorails, but those Disney folks know what their doing. Their transportation system is so organized.

The children was especially excited about the monorail.

The flowers were extra gorgeous thanks to the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.

The monorail took a little longer than expected, so we were actually running late for our dinner reservation. Restaurant Marrakesh is what I’d consider a hidden gem at Epcot. I love the food and decor, but for whatever reason, the restaurant is typically not terribly busy. Maybe it’s because the restaurant is tucked away near the back of the pavilion? We’ve never needed a reservation before, but we made one this time, just in case. Anywho, we could see the Morocco Pavilion across the lake, but we couldn’t seem to get there fast enough.

We arrived pretty late, but luckily for us, they were able to seat us right away.

I love the way this restaurant is decorated. There’s so much to see all around – on the walls, the ceiling, the lamps…

I’m thinking this isn’t the least bit Moroccan, but it was a hot day, so we had some refreshing, red sangria.

We got an appetizer sampler with my favorite – the beef brewat rolls. I must try to re-create something similar to these sometime. They are so good! You wouldn’t think powdered sugar and cinnamon would be great with a savory, beef appetizer, but trust me, it works!

The kabobs at the restaurant are good, but my favorite thing to get is the couscous. I usually get chicken, but this time, we decided to try something new and split an entrée – Couscous M’Rouzia. We loved it. The beef was so tender, we didn’t even need a knife. The flavors of all the ingredients came together so well. I’m picky about my savory-sweet combos, but I really enjoyed this one.

The live music…

…and live belly dancing are always fun, too!

And did I mention why this restaurant is a favorite? I used to live in Orlando, and when we’d visit Disney, this was one of my dad’s favorite places to eat. Like father, like daughter.

Thank you Restaurant Marrakesh for another fantastic dining experience! We’ll be back!

Oh, and for fellow Morocco Pavilion fans, there will be a new restaurant in the area (potentially) by the end of the year! Check out the Disney blog (here) for more details on Spice Road Table.

Thanks for reading!
