Let’s End on a High Note

Hey everyone!

Long time no chat, eh? Sorry for the radio silence, but work has been so crazy-busy in the last few weeks! Also, my oven is broken, but that’s another story for another day. So much for all those holiday baking recipe ideas I had!

Let's End on a High Note {Motivation Monday} - Quote

Work has been so demanding, I think it’s sucking up all of my brain power. But, I’m excited about work this week because it’s my last full week of work for 2014! I get to enjoy the week of Christmas off, and I’ll have at least two days off the week of New Years, too. Does anyone else have a similar schedule? This schedule has been pretty typical for me for the last few years working the 9-to-5, and I always look forward to it.

This is the week you get to rally. You pull all the remaining energy you have for the year together and try to make some great things happen before starting the new year. You try to finalize your goals for the year and tie up loose ends. Sometimes you get to get a head start on the coming year. And for all your hard work, you get to enjoy some down time with family and friends in the last week or so of the year.

First we work hard, then we play hard!

So, who’s with me?

Let’s end on a high note!

Ready? Steady. Goooooo!

  1. Since I kicked off my high heels, quit my well-paid job, loaded all I own in a van, and headed to Italy to live off the grid on a farm, I have all weeks off all year round 🙂 Now that I live with almost no money, have no bills or desires to buy anything, I feel free and happy. I am my own boss and will never get back into my old stressful life.
(By the way, I have been a reader of your blog for few years, on and off, and I would really love to see more of your crafts. I believe you are so talented and it is a shame that you are not doing anything in that direction. I know it will be difficult but you are a creative person and I believe you will thrive if you start doing what you love the most.

I wish you and your family a very happy and relaxing Christmas.
    All the best

    • Hi Cyrene, Good to hear from you! You should start a blog about your adventures. I think it would be really interesting. Thanks for the kind words! I really haven’t done much with crafting in a long time. I thought about making some jewelry recently, but then I got distracted. lol. Hopefully, I’ll have more time for getting creative one day. I am working on getting more organized for 2015, so I’m hoping that will help. Hope you had a great Christmas! 🙂 Diana
