Day 4 of our Kiawah Island trip was my birthday!
Good morning, lagoon.
Bailey loved going on walks around Kiawah and exploring the island.
For my birthday, I spent the morning at the Sanctuary Spa. I had a 9am massage and got to use the spa facilities for a bit longer before heading back to the rental to get ready for a fabulous birthday lunch. The spa was wonderful. One of the best I’ve visited. My massage was great, the facilities were really nice, and the customer service was on point. I definitely want to go back next year (if not sooner).
Restaurants on Kiawah Island can be a bit expensive, so we try to eat most meals in. For my birthday, we visited one of my faves, Jasmine Porch. I love their food and also appreciate that they source local ingredients.
The interior is pretty too.
Since we were celebrating…mimosas!
I love their bread basket and spreads (I think it’s a honey-herb-whipped butter and pimento cheese).
We shared a chickpea salad to start.
Dad got quinoa-crusted tofu. He’s always impressed by the vegan options Jasmine Porch offers (or can whip up off menu).
I had the mahi mahi BLT sandwich. It was soooo good! I don’t remember seeing this option on the menu before, but I’d definitely order it again.
And look at this beautiful birthday dessert!
{Lucky birthday girl}
It’s been awhile since this lunch happened, but I think this was the peach bread pudding.
We did a multi-day rental on the bikes, so we rode them around as much as possible. I love taking the bikes down the tree-canopy-covered paths and especially on the beach.
We had a freezer meal pork dish for dinner with rice and green beans.
And for my birthday dessert, my Sis and her SO made me a crêpe cake. From scratch!!
Look at all those delicious little layers. This was my first crêpe cake, and it was a good way to start.
And look at this beautiful sunset we got to enjoy. I’d love to see this again soon. Every day? Just kiiiiiidding.
