So many of you guys have been asking me how to make the beautiful smoothie bowls I keep posting on Instagram. The truth is…they’re SO easy! I guess they just look more complicated than they actually are. So although I’ve already made one smoothie bowl video for you, I’m planning to create a more how-to style video like what I did with the stovetop oatmeal. Stay tuned for that! Until then, I wanted to share a super simple 3 ingredient Raspberry Banana Smoothie Bowl recipe. I made this version vegan with cashew milk, but you can use any milk of your choice.
If you did the Cleanish Challenge, you’d know I’m a big fan of “eating with your eyes”. Which is the idea of making food look good so you really want to eat it. Because of the colors of the raspberries and banana, this bowl yields a beautiful pink smoothie. It’s totally Instagram-able. If you’re into that.
And if you’re not feeling the toppings, you can totally pour the smoothie into a cup and drink it old-school style, sans toppings.
Speaking of toppings, while the base only contains 3 ingredients, I also used a mere 3 for the toppings: granola, chia seeds, and fresh raspberries. This took me about 5 minutes to whip up. See! Healthy can be easy and delicious!
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 banana
- ¼ cup almond milk (or milk of choice), plus more as needed to blend
- ¼ - ½ cup granola
- 1 - 3 teaspoons chia seeds
- fresh raspberries
- Place frozen raspberries, banana, and almond milk in a blender. Blend until smooth, adding additional milk or water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to get the smoothie blending.
- Pour mixture into a bowl and add toppings. Enjoy!
