Recipes

I’m passionate about making easy and delicious recipes for the everyday cook with a flair for healthy living. My recipes usually have at least one (if not more than one) component of simplicity: a short ingredient list, few steps, ready quickly, or just plain easy to make. I love eating seasonally and using local ingredients. I’m big on avoiding processed foods, trying to stay as close to whole foods, as possible. I also try to use ingredients that are easy to find, though I will utilize some of the more exotic ones when I’m feeling extra playful. I hope you enjoy checking out some of my recipes. Below is a collection of original and adapted recipes I’ve featured on The Chic Life blog. I hope you find some you enjoy and if you try one, leave me a comment or send me a message using my Contact form (click) to let me know what you think. Enjoy! 🙂

Recipe Feedback

Did you check out any of my recipes? One of my absolute favorite things about blogging is hearing about your experience with my recipes. I welcome constructive criticism, but I especially love hearing your success stories. I’ve heard from moms who finally (finally!) were able to convince their children to eat vegetables using one of my muffin recipes or their significant other to eat cauliflower using a sneaky recipe I made awhile back. I’ve heard from readers who had never tried ingredients, like quinoa, before reading about it on my blog. Or others who said the simplicity of some of my recipes encouraged them to try something new, like making homemade granola. These stories are the reason I keep blogging and making new recipes to share with you. I want you to know that healthy eating is easy, fun, and enjoyable. I’m not a professional chef. I just like eating well, even with a busy schedule. If I can do it, you can too!

If you like a recipe, please consider leaving a comment or sharing it on social media. This helps me know which recipes you guys like most so I can keep making more of those. As always, thank you so much for stopping by. Hope to see you here on The Chic Life again soon!

  1. Hi,

I am looking for your tofu/edamame stir fry recipe and I can’t find it. Its either the one with the green tea noodles or regular noodles. I don’t see the recipe with the actual measurements though….when you get a chance, can you post it? Thanks!

  3. Hey! I love this website. I have been making your recipes and they are delicious. Can I have a cooking lesson? I want to become an executive chef when I grow up so cooking lessons would help me in that way.

  5. Loved the roasted pear with Gorgonzola, candied pecans and balsamic reduction. I substituted a smoky blue for the Gorgonzola (subtle baconish flavor on the back end.)
Yum! Thanks for the great recipe.
