Description

This Lemon Baked Salmon is as delicious as it is easy. Using only a handful of ingredients, you can have this ready while you get ready for the evening.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 salmon filet
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder, optional
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Brush the salmon filet top and sides with olive oil. Top with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Add a sprinkle of garlic powder, if using.
  3. Slice enough thin lemon slices to cover salmon. Cut the rest of the lemon for wedges for serving or to add to your water.
  4. Top the salmon with lemon slices. Bake until cooked through to your liking. I usually bake mine for about 10 minutes per 1 inch (height) of salmon.
  5. Serve and enjoy

Notes

Recipe easily multiplies if you want to serve more than one.

If you’re skittish about your fish being cooked through, like me, then look for a sushi grade salmon. I still cook mine well done, but I like the peace of mind.
