Around 6:30 pm last night, hubby and I met up with friends for an evening of snacking and karaoke singing.
We headed over to Kate + Nate’s where we met up with Kath , Matt , Amanda , Justin, Kelsey , and some other fun peeps.
We had a wonderful assortment of beers to choose from, and I kicked things off by trying a new beer – Shock Top – and it was veeeerrrry nice. I’m not a big beer person, but I really enjoy the lighter, smoother brews, and this one fit the bill.
Gilbert was in the hizzy and loving all the extra attention.
Shortly after we arrived, the snacks were brought out, including these beautiful blondies by Kelsey.
What it’s like to hang out with food bloggers. 🙂 I love all the picture-taking of the foods!
Yum!
There were also some chocolate chip cookies…
…and some hummus with TJ’s pita chips.
A few of us hadn’t eaten dinner yet, so we ordered pizza from a local pizzeria – 1 pepperoni and 1 cheese. Guess I was hungrier than I thought because I completely forgot to take photos of the pizzas – no boxes, no pizzas, no pizza slices…not even a crust! Oops!
The snacks didn’t last long.
After enjoying some brewskies on the back porch, it was time to head over to karaoke!
Three of the girls were uber-prepared for the evening – we all had sandals in our purses in case we needed to change shoes! Can you tell which purse and shoes are mine?
And, you’ll never guess who was trying on Kelsey’s shoes!
We headed out on a full moon.
We all walked to a local karaoke joint – Kelsey and Kath led the way.
At the bar – more brews.
I wanted another Shock Top, but settled for a Blue Moon, which tastes about the same, but is slightly sweeter.
Kate was prepared for the bar smoke….jk…she didn’t wear this all night – just for some pictures.
I thought about suggesting a game of pool, but we were there for karaoke.
Those karaoke books were HUGE! I think they have every song imaginable. There were 3 of these gigantic song books!
Matt provided the ice breaker by singing first.
The girls sang “Like a Prayer ” by Madonna.
Then, a couple of us just danced to the next song…
Ooh-Ooh!
We even had “Alice Cooper” there to serenade us on our way out. Now that’s the way to exit!
I HEART Karaoke! Call me next time!
fun fun fun fun fun!! We must hang out again soon!!
