My friend Paola made an impromptu trip to NYC this summer.
{Paola and me}
I had plans with my friends Justin and Emily to do a repeat of the fun evening of tapas and comedy I’d enjoyed earlier this year. Luckily, they were able to get the reservations updated so my friend Paola could join in on the fun.
We returned to Café Español and stuck with our faves, like the tomato toast and patatas bravas.
The garlic shrimp is always a winner.
We had another vegetable paella and even tried two desserts. The food was just as delicious as the last visit. And this time we got to enjoy their open patio since the weather was so much warmer than last time.

After we dinner, we walked a bit further along to hit up the Comedy Cellar. As I mentioned last time, they have a strict policy on photography during the show, so I just have a photo of this sign. We enjoyed another great evening of laughter and it was a great kickoff for Paola’s visit to NYC!
We visited an amazing brunch spot the next day. Stay tuned for that post…coming up next!
