Lazy But Productive Sunday

Hubby and Bailey let me sleep in this morning till 10:30 am! It was awesome. Apparently I needed sleep more than I thought since I napped for an hour yesterday and then slept in so long today. So glad I’m getting my sleep in on the weekends at least.

Hubby brought me coffee in bed and then I slowly woke up enough to make something quick for breakfast. In keeping with my plans to work on getting enough calcium, I thought a yogurt parfait was in order.

I busted out my last of the free Stonyfield Oikos Organic yogurts I had in the fridge (have more coupons, need to get more STAT!) and since the flavor was “plain”, I topped the yogurt with a drizzle of honey.

I added a light sprinkling of white chia seeds.

Meanwhile, I prepped some toast: Great Harvest Flax Oat Bran bread toasted and topped with some Peanut Butter & Co Dark Chocolate Dreams PB and some banana slices.

I put the rest of the banana slices on top of the yogurt and then added some sliced almonds and ground flaxseed.

All together with some skim milk for extra calcium. Excellent breakfast!

After starting off the day slowly, things picked up in productivity.

I managed to get a few things done:

  • Cleaned 1/2 of bathroom
  • Washed bathmats
  • Cleared off dressers
  • Visited an open house
  • Drove around neighborhoods scoping out potential houses.
  • Cooked lunch (separate post for that)
  • Prepped dinner
  • Baked something (post on the way for that)

Do you prefer lazy or productive Sundays?

  1. I love your blog! I just discovered it and am so glad I did!
-I love to have a productive Sunday over a lazy Sunday just because when I am lazy I tend to eat worse and not work out. haha. I love to be a busy bee though!
