Simple Sunday Lunch: Annie’s Creamy Shells & Cheese

Hubby and I enjoyed a simple Sunday lunch today using stuff from the pantry and fridge.

Farmer’s Market veggies (green beans, mung bean sprouts) and leftover veggies (TJ’s organic broccoli florets and baby carrots)

I decided to try a box of Annie’s Creamy Deluxe Shells & Extra Cheesy Cheddar Sauce when I saw it on sale at the grocery store.

I cooked the mac and cheese following the box instructions and steamed the veggies.

The veggies got a light drizzle of melted, real butter.

I thought the mac and cheese was really good – definitely better than the boxed version with the dry mix. I kind of still prefer the other mainstream cheesy-mac-and-cheese brands, but I know that Annie’s is better for me. Annie’s is also a bit more expensive, so I’ll probably have to try to buy it in bulk or wait for sales. Annie’s creamy shells & cheese still made for a great, convenient lunch.
