After our farmers market outing, we decided to use some of our new goodies for lunch, including a no-measure tomato, mozzarella, basil, balsamic salad.
Here’s our mixture of locally, organically grown tomatoes.
Now, you need basil, too.
Slice tomatoes
Slice fresh basil
Slice fresh mozzarella
Top with drizzle olive oil, salt, pepper
Top with drizzle balsamic.
Stir, let flavors mesh, then enjoy!
I had my salad with a turkey panini using some of our new jalapenos

Smoked gouda

Beautiful!
Look at all those lovely seeds on the Great Harvest Bread Company Dakota bread!
Altogether now. I only ate half the sammie to save room for dessert.
Got a new Better Homes decorating magazine last night – it has some good tips – can’t wait to get reading!
Hubby and I love stopping by a local bakery on Saturdays.
I find their glazed donuts irresistible.
They were out today, so I got a pretzel twist instead. The twist proved to be a little too much for me…think I’ll stick with the donuts next time (if they’re available), but I love their doughy-ness with that yummy glaze. Yum! Pair this with a little milk and you’ve got a nice afternoon!
What did you do on your Saturday?
Yum! All these foods look great!
You are so lucky to have a nearby farmer's market! Those tomatoes look heavenly. I love it when I see packs with a variety in. Admittedly I am not a huge bread eater, but that looks like an outstanding loaf with all those seeds…
Gorgeous market finds – love the caprese dish you made. I would sacrifice eating a whole sandwich for that donut too :p
Yummy!!
Beautiful photos!
