I’m hoping to get these planner posts more real time soon. For now, here are Planner Decoration Ideas: April 2015 (Erin Condren Vertical). But first…
Did anyone take advantage of the HUGE 25% off discount code Erin Condren just ran? I shared the post on Facebook, so definitely follow me there if you want to get alerts on other great deals. I must say, I’ve never-ever-ever seen such a big discount on Life Planners. And I even got free shipping since I snagged a couple more goodies and hit a minimum amount to qualify.
In fact, I think the last time I got a discount was the first year I got them, and I may have gotten…10% off? Scratch that, I just checked my original email order, and it looks like I paid full price! Anywho, hopefully many more of you were able to take advantage of that deal. If you missed out, you can always use a referral code for a discount. I have my referral link on my Planner page if you’re interested.
Planner Decoration Ideas: April 2015 (Erin Condren Vertical)
The looks in April 2015 were made primarily with washi tape and just a few craft store stickers and custom Erin Condren Life Planner stickers. Colorful washi tape really took center stage in these layouts. With Easter being the big holiday of the month to me, I stuck mostly to traditional pastel holiday colors.
Monthly Layout Planner Decorations: April 2015
I had the hardest time finding the Target Easter washi tape. I kept seeing people post cute photos of it on Instagram, but I couldn’t seem to find it or the sticky notes in the store. Until one day…jackpot! I found it all. I was able to use them for the monthly layout, as well as the week of Easter.
Planner Decoration Supplies Used:
- Target Dollar Spot Sticky Notes
- Target Easter washi tape
- I can’t remember who the Easter stickers are by…oops (I got them at a craft store)
- I think the small pink bunnies were a freebie sheet of stickers with a washi tape order from pikwahchan on Etsy
Weekly Layout Planner Decorations
Week of April 1, 2015
Since I had so many different Easter decoration supplies, I wanted to go a little crazy this week. I added the thin washi to help pull all the colors together. I played up the polka dots on the left side with more stickers.
Planner Decoration Supplies Used:
- Target washi tape (wide Easter style)
- Thin washi by mt
- Target dollar spot sticky note
- Easter stickers from the craft store
- To-Do Polka Dot Box by It’s Planning Time

I didn’t have a lot of washi with purple in it, but this one was fun to use because of all the other colors in it. I was able to find lots of other stickers to pull out those colors through the layout. I actually like using a washi tape with the main background color in it, but I prefer to use the coordinating colors for the other materials so they pop more, rather than blending in. This was a fun and unique combo of purple, pink, turquoise, and neon green.
Planner Decoration Supplies Used:
- I believe all 3 washi tapes were purchased from pikwahchan on Etsy
- “Keep Life Simple” flag by Sweet Kawaii Design
- To Do box and Plan sticker by It’s Planning Time
- Weekend banner by Nicole Hutch Designs
- Bow To Do list by Oh So Pretty Planner
- Pegasus sticker by The Planner Junkie Inc
- Sticky Notes cut into horizontal flags

This is one of my stand out favorite looks of the year. There was just something about the combination of colors and materials that I loved. This may have been one of the first times I used checklists on the left side of the planner. It’s such a great place for to-dos and other lists.

More fun with washi tape. The butterflies added a playful look to this spread. I used the extra triangles from the vertical washi tape flags to make a DIY banner.
Planner Decoration Supplies Used:
- Butterfly washi tape (I believe) purchased at JoAnns
- Other washi (I believe) purchased from pikwahchan on Etsy
- To-Do Polka Dot Box by It’s Planning Time
- To-Do pink box and small pink flag by It’s Planning Time
- Bow Box by Oh So Pretty Planner
I’ll do the last few days of April in my May post.
