Weekend Celebrations – Part 2

Saturday was certainly a busy day. After helping Michelle + hubby move to their new home, I had some time to rest before the rest of the festivities begin.

Emily’s Birthday Dinner at Olive Garden

We met up with our friends Emily, Justin, Shreya + Corey for an Olive Garden birthday celebration. Dinner was delish and we had a fabulous time. We shared the cheese dip and bruschetta appetizers, salad, breadsticks. Hubby and I split our usual – Chicken Parmesan with Fettuccine Alredo (probably one of the worst things to order – esp that alfredo – but we don’t get it too often and we really like it). Hubby and I also shared a Chocolate Mousse Cake and I had a decaf coffee. I really wanted to try the new doughnut bites with chocolate sauce dessert, but they were out! Boo!

No pictures from dinner…I just tweeted them on.

Gaby’s “Happy Voyage” Party

After dinner, we headed over to a friend’s place for my friend Gaby’s Hello Kitty Themed “Happy Voyage” party (Happy Birthday + Bon Voyage = Happy Voyage).

Even though I already had dessert at Olive Garden, I couldn’t resist a tiny slice of her Hello-Kitty-Pink birthday cake.

Gaby is moving to the Netherlands next week. I’m so sad she’s leaving but excited for what new adventures she’ll have in the future. She’s a great person and I’ll miss her dearly.

Best wishes on your bright future Gaby!! We’ll miss you!!

The cake looks like so much fun! My girls (and I) would go nuts over it. I've never seen such a beautiful shade of pink frosting! (We love Hello Kitty too!)
