7:30 am – TJ’s Bolivian Blend Coffee – Content (5)
I went for some TJ’s Bolivian Blend coffee this am to wake up.
9:30 am – Sbucks Breakfast Sandwich + Soy Latte – First Signs of Feeling Full (6)
I got an annoying/irritating email this am and decided even though today is supposed to be an eat-in day, I needed some more Sbucks. I got a breakfast sandwich (did you see that Nate ?! I said “sandwich”…not “sammy “…just for you 🙂 ). I also got a tall vanilla soy latte.
1:30 pm – Blynk Tex Mex-ish Lunch – First Signs of Feeling Full (6)
I went to a local organic lunch spot called Blynk for lunch today and got a roasted corn and pepper soup…
…which came with some baguette (which was nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside)…
…along with a half mexicali wrap, which has corn, jasmine rice, and jicama in it (among other ingredients). Lunch was great…the flavors were simple but went well together and it was light enough to make a great work-out-day-lunch.
I had water to drink.
My co-worker gave me a piece of chocolate-covered marzipan for dessert…mmm.
5:00 pm – Kashi Crackers + Fresh Red Pepper – Content (5)
For a pre-workout snack, I had a mini bag of Kashi TLC Original 7 Grain crackers …
…and some fresh red pepper slices leftover from yesterday for some Vitamin C!
6:00 pm – Zumba! – Exhausted
I’m on quite the zumba roll now! It’s so great that they’ve added some new classes so I’m able to go more often! Only problem is doing zumba 2 days in a row is quite the workout…I was starting to drag by the end of class! There was one samba-song, Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes featuring the Black Eyed Peas , that really kicked my a-double-s. I was sooo tired by the end of class! Great workout, though!
I also came home to a lovely loaf of Great Harvest Honey Whole Wheat bread that hubby picked up while I was at work…woohoo! A new bread flavor to try out!
8:00 pm – Mahi Mahi, Brown Rice, and Asparagus – First Signs of Feeling Full (6)
To meet my SCBR Week 9 changes of eating fish twice this week, I got some frozen, marinated Mahi Mahi from TJ’s, which I placed in the fridge yesterday to defrost for tonight’s dinner.
I started a pot of wild rice cooked in chicken stock just before getting the Mahi Mahi in the oven to cook.
I served the fish with some sauteed asparagus in olive oil, salt, and pepper, and I topped the rice with some sliced almonds
I had dinner with a small glass of OJ. The fish was pretty good – a little more “fishy” tasting than I’d like, but I’m not a big fish eater anyways. The frozen Mahi Mahi was certainly convenient and I liked how it was already marinated.
As I was taking photos of dinner, I noticed something…different…in my stack of mags/books.
Upon closer inspection, I realized it was a camera…but could it be for me? Hubby confirmed it was…a total out of the blue gift! Isn’t he the best?!
I know I have the DSLR, but I’m so glad to have a good point + shoot option, too, because I can’t carry the Rebel around with me everywhere I go (even though I’d like to). Plus, the Rebel doesn’t have a video recorder. Not to mention, my other point + shoot was deleting my photos! Remember when I asked for suggestions way back when? Guess hubby used the tips to pick out the Canon PowerShot SD780 . Thank you so much, babe…I love it and can’t wait to start using it!
For dessert, I had a mini yogurt parfait – just a wee bit of Vanilla Danon Light & Fit (which is not my fave but only because it contains sucralose, which I try to avoid) topped with some Fresh Market Cherry Vanilla granola. Yum!
Ok, I’m seriously exhausted from Zumba…and I guess the day in general. I’m off for bed. G’night!
omg thats awesome!!!! you are a very lucky girl!!!
sidenote, i love to abbrev words. whats wrong with sammy??? my faves are totes (totally), rand (random), cardy (cardigan)…the list continues 🙂
Awww, your hubby is so sweet! I love that he hid it amongst your stuff, how cute. 🙂
I've really wanted to try Zumba, but they only offer it once a week at my gym–so it's hard to make it! 🙁
Oooh, chocolate-covered marzipan?? Fabulous!!
Great husband!!
Hooray for being on a "zumba roll," haha!!! Love it 🙂
What a sweet hubby!
That was really nice of the hubby to do!
BTW, I have a habit of saying "sangwich" – LOL – it must be a New York thing. So, don't feel bad. 😉
Super sweet hubby! Mine just hinted to me this weekend that he wants me to pick out a new one for my b-day. I'll take a look at this one!
Your dinner looks delish!
what a great gift! I'm still looking to get a new camera, I'll have to look into that one. Let me know how it does! I was also looking into the Canon PowerShot SX200IS. Do you think one would be better than the other? I'm clueless when it comes to cameras.

What an exciting surprise present!! Now if my husband would only get me a Rebel…
