Mom’s Veggie Garden – Summer 2010

Breakfast at my fam’s – scrambled eggs, potatoes & onions, half a rye bagel, fresh fruit – grapes and strawberries.

We enjoyed breakfast while watching a video of my sister’s first dance performance. She’s been taking ball room dance lessons and had her first performance in April. I missed it because it was the weekend of the Key West wedding, but I’m so glad they had video!

After breakfast, I toured mom’s garden. Last year she just had herbs, flowers, and some blueberries. This year, she’s growing a TON!

Of course, she has all the usual suspects – all the herbs, flowers, strawberries, and blueberries.

Hubby and I got her some roses to plant in the yard for Mother’s Day. We really wanted to find yellow roses – her fave, but they only had pink left. She likes pink, too, so that’s cool.

We considered getting a flower arrangement, but something she could grow in her yard seemed like a better, longer-lasting idea. 🙂

If you’re celebrating, what did you get your mom for Mother’s Day?

GUESS WHAT!? Galaxy Granola is now available in my OpenSky shop!! After falling in love with the granola myself and then hearing about how you guys couldn’t find it in your local stores, I put in a request to carry the granola in my shop. After patiently waiting many weeks, it’s now ready! Click here to check out the available flavors! 🙂
