3 Get Well Soon DIY/Home Remedies
And if you’re looking for more than just recipes, here are some ideas for some DIY/home remedies you can whip up with every day ingredients. Now, this is pretty obvious, but I’ll say it anyway – I’m not a doctor. The information in this post is shared for education purposes only and should not replace the advice of a doctor. Before trying any remedies, you should probably consult your doctor. Okay? Okay! Here we go (and I have one TCL remedy to share at the end of this section):
1. Cafe Johnsonia: DIY: Honey-Thyme Cough Syrup
2. Four Thieves Vinegar by Nourished Kitchen (said to be the garden remedy that survived the bubonic plague)

Reader question: What are your go-to get well soon recipes & home remedies?
Thanks for including my soup and cornbread. Feel better soon!
An Energy Booster Juice would be perfect on this rainy day. And the combination in the Tropical Green Smoothie is very intriguing. I’ve survived spinach and kale in green juices, now I’m curious how parsley would taste.
For me, when I’m down with a cold or flu, it’s warm water + lemon juice in the morning, and juices and tea throughout the day. The best tea I’ve tried is made with fresh sage, mint and rosemary, lots of lemon juice, no sweetener. And for a double dose of vitamin C I love my blender-made pineapple-minneola-lemon-mint juice. When appetite is back I go for my favourite Middle Eastern creamy lentil soup with lemon and croutons. It almost sounds like being sick is a great excuse to enjoy awesome food:)
Thanks for including my soup and stir-fry! This is such a great round-up, I am bookmarking for the next time a bug hits! 🙂
Lovely round up! Will keep it in mind next time a catch a flu!
Thanks for including me! Hope you’re feeling better!!!
This is one of my most favorite posts of yours! Definitely a keeper!! Thanks!
