I met my friend Kelly for lunch at Westville in West Village NYC post Jonas. We had tried to go to Chalait, but there was nowhere to sit. So, Kelly recommended Westville, which is close by.
I’m so glad she did, because this is now one of my favorite spots for casual eats.
I had the tea, which was actually made sans tea leaves. Instead, it was steeped with fresh mint and ginger. It was perfect for the snowy day.
I also had the grilled cheese with a side of brussels sprouts. Another great snow day choice.
The grilled cheese came with thick slices of bacon inside. It was good comfort food for the weather.
One day I’ll come back for these desserts!
This was the smallest restaurant I’ve ever dined at. There were only about ten (or so) tables, and they were squeezed super tight together. But, I’d learn this is really normal for NYC. In fact, I love how creative some spots get with utilizing space.
It was actually really cozy, and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the food and noted them to revisit soon.
{The streets were on the way to be cleaned up. We were lucky Westville was open post Jonas.}
There are multiple Westville locations throughout NYC, which is great for me. I’ve been a couple times since, and I really like them!
Next up – a famous West Village dessert.
