Hello friends! Sorry these Tampa posts are taking longer than I expected! After our dolphin cruise, we had the most amazing dinner at another of Dion’s recommendations – FarmTable in downtown St. Petersburg.

Do you ever see something and feel compelled to get a photo of it?
Downtown St. Petersburg is so cute! I wish we were staying longer so I could spend more time here walking around.
Since Dion and I are Epic Eaters from back-in-the-day in Charlotte, I knew her recommendations would be great. And FarmTable was beyond wonderful.
I started with a glass of prosecco.
The menu was on the smaller side, but had plenty of wonderful options. I actually prefer small menus, so this was perfect.
We started with this adorable platter of warm bread, two cheese options, prosciutto (I think), spicy figs, warm olives, pickled okra, mustard, and honeycomb. I love these little food parties on a platter.
My sister ordered what I usually get – the short rib! I got to taste a bite, and it was one of the best I’ve had ever. Get ittttt!
She also really wanted to try the mac and cheese, which was good. It was the smooth and creamy kind.
For my main event, I had the “Olive-oil poached grouper | toasted farro, cherry tomatoes, edamame, beans, and preserved lemon”.
I mean, look at this!
I actually don’t think I’ve ever ordered grouper before, but this was delicious. I especially loved how well the whole plate came together. All the ingredients mixed perfectly. I love these kinds of meals where you try to get a little piece of each flavor in one bite. The little purple basil leaves were tasty in addition to making the plate look pretty.
They must know how I feel about dessert, because they put us next to this huge display of cakes. After seeing this rainbow cake get sliced up and passed out to another table, I really wanted it. Sis actually found the cake available by the slice downstairs later. There’s a shopping area underneath the restaurant. More on that in a minute.
We actually opted to share this key lime panna cotta. Yum! If I remember correctly, this came with mango and cheries and coconut sorbet. This was really light and cool – perfect for the hot Florida day.
The downstairs area, Locale Market, was sort of like a Dean and Deluca. Lots of cool and local finds around.
Like this! Whoa!
My new favorite thing to take home from travels is food. It doesn’t clutter your space (for long) and is fun to enjoy later. I got two bags of coffee. Mmm!
Such a fantastic eating adventure. My sister and I absolutely loved FarmTable. We even got to meet the GM, Justin. Hi, Justin!
And HUGE thank you to Dion for this recommendation! You can follow her on Insta @dionlimtv if you want to see more of her food suggestions.
