Hi friends! So I know I do a lot of washi-tape only decorations, but my ultimate favorite is a mix of mostly washi with some stickers. I’m finding that I especially love washi for borders and other long lines paired with super decorative box stickers. Unfortunately, the latter takes up more writing space, so I can’t always use it when I have a busy planning week. But it’s so pretty, I can’t resist using them now and again. Especially if I know one day will be lighter than the others. Anywho, let’s jump into this post for Erin Condren Planner Decorations: Summer Sticker Kit Layout 2018.

This post is about my decorations for the weekly layout in my Erin Condren LifePlanner in the vertical style.
For this layout, I started with a single page sticker kit. This beautiful sheet is by one of my fave Etsy sticker shops, It’s Planning Time. This kit is unfortunately sold out. But you could always try sending It’s Planning Time a message via Etsy to see if she can do a custom print of it.
In the meantime, she has beautiful fall kits available. And I may or may not be doing a Plan with Me video with one. Just sayin!
In progress. Gotta love a morning planning session with hot coffee and an explosion of planner supplies. Is it just me, or do they go everywhere! The above photo is obviously staged. Ha! Actually, I only moved a couple things around. It was a nice light planning session. But you know the big ones where, bit by bit, you pull more and more supplies out. Next thing you know, your desk is literally covered in washi tape, pens, stickers, and what not?
Planner Decorations Approach
I started with the main washi tape decorations using favorite, nice & simple styles.
Next, I added pineapple washi along the top of the weekend boxes. I love weekend stickers, but those can get pricey. I like how this calls attention to the weekend section.
Using the same pineapple washi tape, I broke the left column into two sections.
Looking to days where I knew I had a little less going on, I added some full box stickers. Typically, I’ll add 2-3 of these. It adds color while still leaving me some space to write.
To bring color throughout, I added more pink polka dot washi in the center along borders.
Since I had Monday off from work, I used a Day Off sticker and then used this simple pen technique to call more attention to the text and make it stand out.
Since the kit was mostly decorative, I used some pretty box stickers to mark some events for my attention.
And I used a pink pen to write To-Do in the top boxes.
