It’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday, the Repetitive Eating edition. Part of the reason I stopped posting a food diary is because I was constantly eating the same things over and over again. While I tend to strive for a diet with lots of variety, I find that I sometimes get that variety from the same places, if that makes sense. Like, there are certain restaurants where I like to get chicken. Or certain types of vegetables. And there are some things I prefer to prepare myself, like roasted salmon.
Here’s what I had this past Wednesday.
I had an early morning meeting at 7:30 am, so I wanted something for breakfast I could eat quickly. And that I didn’t have to cook. I ended up having a Mixed Berry Blended Chobani and some organic blueberries. I had intended to pick up some almond butter toast as a snack, but the yogurt was surprisingly filling.
PS: How great are these blended Chobanis? I’m not a fan of fruit-on-the-bottom. There’s something about the texture that I don’t love. Blended for the win!

The Usual (Super-Healthy) Lunch
My co-workers are never surprised to see me eating Between the Bread for lunch. Not only do I eat there all the time, but I tend to get the same thing too. I just love their chicken with honey mustard. And I find myself craving their kale salad. The roasted veggies are a good option for me because I don’t like doing all that prep work for roasted veg. Especially the beets! They’re delicious but messy! Gotta take shortcuts when you can.
Here’s a random post-meditation class photo from NYC. I stumbled upon this in the Hell’s Kitchen area when I was wandering around. The lights are so pretty. I wonder if they keep them like this year round?
Quick Weeknight Dinner Solution
Because it was getting late by the time I got back for dinner, I whipped up a Quick Vegetable Noodle Stir Fry (click here for the recipe – it’s so easy!) and got a piece of crispy chicken cutlet from my local grocery store to go with it.
And for good measure, I had half of this chocolate cake. This was a “just because” piece of cake. I recently discovered this cake at a local grocery store, and it has a decadent, moist texture with a pudding-like frosting. Yum!
