My sister wanted a different kind of bachelorette celebration. Something classy and fun. She decided on a weekend at our fave B&B, the Reynolds Mansion, in Asheville, NC. You may remember we visited the Reynolds Mansion for our sister weekend awhile back.
Dobra Tea
Her one request: visit Dobra Tea as many times as possible.
Based on our previous trip, I planned our four visits. One for Friday, two for Saturday, and one for Sunday.
Trip one was the first thing we did. After checking in and dropping off our luggage, of course.
We shared a hummus plate, and I had my fave, the Shak-Tea.
Reynolds Mansion
Meanwhile, back at the B&B, Reynolds Mansion was looking more beautiful than ever.
This was my first time visiting in the middle of the summer.
And my first time the pool was actually open while I was there. I got to learn that this pool is filled with spring water. Woop.
Bachelorette Weekend Gifts
I made some little gifts in my sister’s wedding colors for the girls.
They were pretty simple, and I got all of the materials at Target.
If you’d like to re-create these, it’s a ceramic mug, fuzzy socks, and chapstick. I thought the socks and chapstick would be useful for the weekend. And the mug was a nod to the weekend theme of tea. The poofy flower on top is just for decoration. I also found some pink and white twine and gift tags in the gift aisle, near the cards.
Dinner at Ambrozia
I took Sis and her friend Celeste to a restaurant I visited with my dance friends – Ambrozia.
Celeste got the fried chicken, which came with a side of succotash.
Sis and I shared two entrees. This is the ribs with a tiny side of mac and cheese.
Seriously, look how cute this is. I actually burned my fingers a tad getting this shot for you guys. I thought the tiny cast iron skillet was just decoration. It was not. Or at least, it felt like it had been in the oven for awhile. Yowch.
We also shared the short rib.
Both were really good!
For dessert, I got the homemade oatmeal cream pie, which came with candied nuts and Cheerwine sorbet/ice cream.
Sis’s bachelorette weekend was off to a great start!
